He lived most of his life in Wills Point. From the time of his birth, he suffered from a rare heart defect called <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hlhsinfo.homestead.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On November 17, 2005, Joshua received a heart transplant from a little 5-year old girl named <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/kellycorbly.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kelly Corbly<\/a>. He endured many months in the hospital during his short life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" src=\"http:\/\/joshuakeahey.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Joshua-after-heart-transplant-1-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9\" srcset=\"https:\/\/joshuakeahey.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Joshua-after-heart-transplant-1-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/joshuakeahey.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Joshua-after-heart-transplant-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/joshuakeahey.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Joshua-after-heart-transplant-1-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/joshuakeahey.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Joshua-after-heart-transplant-1-1536x1026.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/joshuakeahey.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Joshua-after-heart-transplant-1-2048x1368.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/joshuakeahey.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Joshua-after-heart-transplant-1-1568x1047.jpg 1568w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>He passed away (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vanzandtnews.com\/publish\/article_2954.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">obituary<\/a>) early Sunday morning, April 2, 2006 at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/childrens.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Children&#8217;s Medical Center<\/a> in Dallas, Texas, and was buried at White Rose Cemetery in <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"\/\/www.mapquest.com\/maps\/map.adp?address=&amp;city=Wills%20Point&amp;state=TX&amp;zipcode=&amp;country=US&amp;title=%3cb%3eWills%20Point%2c%20TX%20US%3c%2fb%3e&amp;cid=lfmaplink2&amp;name=\" target=\"_blank\">Wills Point, Texas<\/a> on April 5, 2006.
